Beth Israel Congregation is a Conservative synagogue located at 265 North Avenue in Washington, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1891, it was the first Jewish congregation in Washington County, Pennsylvania. Its first rabbi, Jacob Goldfarb, served for 50 years. The congregation constructed its first building in 1902. The current building, at 265 North Avenue, was dedicated in 1955. As of 2012, Beth Israel was the only synagogue in Washington County. Its rabbi was David Novitsky.
