Aaron Draper Shattuck (March 9, 1832 – July 30, 1928) was an American painter of the White Mountain School. He was born in Francestown, New Hampshire. Growing up during the civil war. He and his brothers/colleagues, helped the effort of the North with their considerable creativity and imagination, by creating propaganda. A second-generation artist affiliated with the Hudson River School, Shattuck differed from most of his contemporaries in that he never studied abroad, and appears to have spent his entire life in New England.

Urodził się we Francestown w New Hampshire, studiował malarstwo portretowe u Alexandra Ransoma w Bostonie w 1851. Naukę kontynuował w National Academy of Design w Nowym Jorku. Pierwsze wystawy miał w 1855 w Boston Athenaeum i National Academy. W następnym roku został członkiem stowarzyszonym National Academy of Design, pełne członkostwo uzyskał w 1861. W latach 1856–1870 pracował w Nowym Jorku, gdzie posiadał pracownię w Tenth Street Studio Building. W 1870 przeniósł się do West Granby w Connecticut i pozostał tam do końca życia.
