The 2009–10 Providence Friars men's basketball team represented Providence College in the Big East Conference. The team finished with a 4–14 conference record and a 12–19 record overall. Coming off his first season with the team that included a 19–14 record and a win over top-ranked Pittsburgh, coach Keno Davis returned just one starter and only seven players overall for the 2009–10 season. Departing seniors were guard Weyinmi Efejuku, guard Jeff Xavier, forward Jonathan Kale, forward Geoff McDermott, forward Randall Hanke, as well as forwards Chris Baudinet, Brian Beloin, and Connor Heine. Additionally, forward Alex Kellogg transferred to Ohio following two seasons with the Friars.
