The 1958 New York Giants season was the franchise's 34th season in the National Football League. Jim Lee Howell was in his fifth year as head coach of the Giants, but more notable were his top two assistants: future Hall of Fame head coaches Vince Lombardi (offensive coordinator) and Tom Landry (defensive coordinator). Lombardi left after the season to lead the Green Bay Packers, while Landry stayed for the 1959 season, then departed for the expansion Dallas Cowboys.
