- Longevity claims are unsubstantiated cases of asserted human longevity. Those asserting lifespans of 110 years or more are referred to as supercentenarians. Many have either no official verification or are backed only by partial evidence. Cases where longevity has been fully verified, according to modern standards of longevity research, are reflected in an established list of supercentenarians based on the work of organizations such as the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) or Guinness World Records. This article lists living claims greater than that of the oldest living person whose age has been independently verified, French woman Lucile Randon, at 118 years, 296 days, and deceased claims greater than that of the oldest person ever whose age has been verified, namely her compatriot Jeanne Calment, who died at the age of 122 years and 164 days. The upper limit for both lists is 130 years. (en)
- Неверифікованим довгожителями називаються тих довгожителів, які стверджують про свій достатньо великий вік, але ці твердження не можуть бути підтверджені документально, у силу втрати документів, що вказують точну, перевірену дату народження довгожителя. Випадки непідтвердженого довголіття трапляються достатньо часто. Наводимо окремо три списки. У першому списку вказані непідтверджені довгожителі, що нині живуть. У другому — найвідоміші довгожителі, що померли. При цьому вказуються всі відомі випадки тривалості життя 130 і більше років, для тривалості життя менше 130 років включаються лише довгожителі, що померлі у XXI столітті. У третій список включені довгожителі, про яких давно не було інформації, живі вони чи ні. Передбачається, що вони померли, але дата смерті невідома. У нижченаведених списках зазначені лише ті непідтверджені довгожителі, які, як стверджується, прожили понад 115 років. (uk)
- Alegações de longevidade extrema são alegações de longevidade que não são reconhecidas, ou não existe documentação suficiente para convencer os especialistas em estudos gerontológicos, nomeadamente o Gerontology Research Group (GRG). Em versões antigas do Livro Guiness dos Recordes afirma-se que não há assunto mais obscurecido pela falta de comprovação documental que os extremos da "longevidade humana". Tendo em conta este fator, e para não contaminar os seus estudos com um número excessivo de dados, só consideram os que podem ser comprovados com documentação. Assim, o GWR exige três meios de prova diferentes, podendo ser certidões de batismo ou de registo civil ou certidões de casamento ou registos censórios. Face a esta exigência é fácil admitir que muitos supercentenários reais não têm como comprovar as suas alegações, mas a ausência de documentação de registro de nascimento é um fato muito comum, não só nas sociedades civilizadas recentemente, mas principalmente nas tribais.
