The Woman's Hospital of Texas is an For-profit HCA Affiliated Hospital established in 1976 by a group of physicians who recognized a need in Houston for a facility focused solely on women in all stages of life. Its founders, Dr. Stanley Rogers, Dr. Jack Moore and Dr. Warren Jacobs, specifically chose to name the hospital Woman's – not Women's – in honor of each patient as an individual and the personal attention each woman receives. Located near the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Woman's has been one of the state's premier care providers for women and newborns for more than 30 years. The hospital also received accolades from U.S. News & World Report's annual survey ranking it one of the nation's top 50 hospitals for gynecologic care since 2007.

  • The Woman's Hospital of Texas is an For-profit HCA Affiliated Hospital established in 1976 by a group of physicians who recognized a need in Houston for a facility focused solely on women in all stages of life. Led by CEO Ashley McClellan and CNO Veronica Martin the hospital remains focused on a woman's responsibility for her health by providing resources for prevention, education, wellness and medical care. Woman's offers a full range of women's services for patients, including minimally invasive surgery and Urogynecology as well as a 48-bed antepartum unit, 35 labor and delivery rooms, a medical surgical unit and 124-bed Levels II and III Neonatal Intensive Care nurseries. Woman's has welcomed more than 170,000 babies to the world since its inception and delivers more babies in Harris County than any other hospital. With 275 licensed beds plus an additional 92 beds slated to open in early 2009, the opening of the hospital's new wing will enable physicians to deliver 11,000 babies annually, a goal that increases current deliveries by more than 20 percent. The hospital has garnered recognition for its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as well as its track record of delivering both high-order multiples. It is home to nearly 600 board-certified physicians, many of whom are on the teaching faculty of Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston. (en)
