| - Sir Thomas More is an Elizabethan play and a dramatic biography based on particular events in the life of the Catholic martyr Thomas More, who rose to become the Lord Chancellor of England during the reign of Henry VIII. The play is considered to be written by Anthony Munday and Henry Chettle and revised by several writers. The manuscript is particularly notable for a three-page handwritten revision now widely attributed to William Shakespeare. (en)

- Sir Tommaso Moro è un dramma elisabettiano sulla vita di Thomas More, che diventò lord cancelliere sotto Enrico VIII. Gli autori principali dell'opera sono considerati Anthony Munday e , con revisioni e modifiche da parte di altri autori. Il manoscritto è noto in particolare per tre pagine che parecchi studiosi considerano scritte a mano da William Shakespeare. Si tratterebbe dell'unico suo documento autografo che ci sia rimasto (fatta eccezione per le firme poste su alcuni documenti). Il manoscritto è importante anche per quello che rivela riguardo alla censura nei drammi elisabettiani. (it)

- Sir Thomas More ist ein elisabethanisches Theaterstück, das Sir Thomas More zum Gegenstand hat und der Frage nach Befolgung von Gesetzen und Gehorsam gegenüber der Obrigkeit und dem König nachgeht. Es stammt ursprünglich von Anthony Munday (und Henry Chettle) aus der Zeit von 1596 bis 1601, erhielt aber keine Aufführungserlaubnis durch den Zensor (Master of the Revels) und wurde durch mehrere Autoren überarbeitet, darunter wahrscheinlich auch William Shakespeare sowie Thomas Heywood und Thomas Dekker. Alle Autoren außer Shakespeare waren mit der Theatertruppe The Admiral´s Men verbunden. Häufig wird die Bearbeitung in die Zeit um oder in den Jahren nach 1601 gelegt, als die Admiral´s Men ihr traditionelles Theater The Rose aufgaben (1600) und ein neues bauten. (de)

Il n'en reste qu'un seul manuscrit conservé à la British Library à Londres. Le manuscrit est aussi remarquable car l'on considère qu'il contient trois pages de la main de William Shakespeare, dont on est quasiment certain qu'il aurait participé à sa création. Znana jest z tego, że prawdopodobnie jej fragment został napisany przez Williama Shakespeare’a.
