Rick Lamar Farrar (February 12, 1960 – December 18, 2018) is an American politician. He served as a Democratic member for the 27th district of the Louisiana House of Representatives. Born in Alexandria, Louisiana. Farrar attended at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1985. He then attended at Southern University Law Center, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1991. In 1992, Farrar won the election for the 27th district of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He succeeded Carl Gunter Jr. In 1996, Farrar was succeeded by for the 27th district, in which he then succeeded Wiggins for the same district after his term was done in 2000.
