Pedro Pietri (March 21, 1944 – March 3, 2004) was a Nuyorican poet and playwright and one of the co-founders of the Nuyorican Movement. He was considered by some as the poet laureate of the Nuyorican Movement.

Najbardziej znanym dziełem Pietriego był poemat Puerto Rican Obituary, poświęcony marzeniom emigrantów i rozczarowaniu związanemu z ich niespełnieniem. Zmarł na raka, w trakcie lotu do Nowego Jorku z Meksyku, gdzie był poddawany eksperymentalnej kuracji. Notevole fu l'influenza della zia, che recitava spesso poesie e occasionalmente organizzava spettacoli teatrali nella chiesa locale.
