- Motion Picture & Television Fund, abgekürzt MPTF, nennt sich ein Fonds, der sich hilfsbedürftiger Angehöriger der Filmwirtschaft annimmt. Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks senior und David W. Griffith riefen die Organisation 1921 unter dem Motto We Take Care of Our Own (sinngemäß Wir kümmern uns um unsere eigenen Leute) ins Leben. Bei seiner Gründung hieß der Fonds Motion Picture Relief Fund (MPRF). Als erster Präsident fungierte Joseph M. Schenck, Mary Pickford war seine Stellvertreterin und Reverend Neal Dodd, der in über 300 Filmen als Pastor aufgetreten war, Geschäftsführer. (de)
