Morgan Francis Murphy (April 16, 1932 – March 4, 2016) was an American attorney and United States Representative from Illinois. Murphy attended Chicago parochial schools. He received a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University in 1955 and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Murphy received a J.D. from DePaul University School of Law in 1962. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 to 1957, including a one-year tour of duty in the Far East. He was administrative assistant to Clerk of the Circuit Court of Chicago from 1958 to 1961, was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1962, and commenced practice in Chicago.
