- Milo II of Montlhéry (died 1118) was lord of Bray and Montlhéry, and viscount of Troyes. He was the son of Milo I the Great and Lithuise, and younger brother of Guy III of Montlhéry. He initially held the lordship of Bray-sur-Seine, in Champagne. In 1105, he attacked his brother's castle of Montlhéry, where his cousin Lucienne de Rochefort, fiancée of Louis VI of France, lived. He invested the castle, but could not succeed in capturing the donjon. Louis VI soon arrived to relieve the siege, and Milo was obliged to retire. (en)

| - Milon II. († wohl 1118) war ein Herr von Montlhéry und Bray-sur-Seine aus dem Haus Montlhéry. Er war ein Sohn des Milon I. von Montlhéry und der Vizegräfin Lithuise von Troyes, sein älterer Bruder war Guido II. von Montlhéry. In den zeitgenössischen Chroniken wird er, wie schon sein Vater, Milon de Bray genannt. Von seinen Eltern erbte Milon die Herrschaft Bray-sur-Seine und die Vizegrafschaft Troyes. Zu Beginn des Aufstandes seines Onkels, Guido von Rochefort, und dessen Sohnes, Hugo von Crécy, 1107 gegen König Ludwig VI. verhielt er sich königstreu. Deshalb bekam er vom König 1108 die Familienstammburg Montlhéry überreicht, nachdem diese dem verschwörerischen Königssohn Philipp von Mantes, dem Ehemann seiner Nichte, abgenommen worden war. Wegen seiner Haltung zog Milon aber die Feindschaft seines Vetters Hugo von Crécy auf sich, welcher ihm die starke Burg Montlhéry neidete. Die Chronik der Abtei von Morigny (Chronicon Mauriniacensis) berichtet, dass Hugo eines Tages die Burg Montlhéry durch Verrat erobern konnte und Milon gefangen nahm. Er sperrte ihn in einen Kerker seiner Burg Châteaufort, wo er ihn später mit eigenen Händen erwürgte. Hugo von Crécy wurde aber schon kurz darauf von König Ludwig VI. unterworfen, welcher Montlhéry der königlichen Domäne einverleibte. (de)

Louis VI la lui attribua, mais Hugues se vengea quelques années plus tard en le faisant assassiner. Il se révolta également en 1113 avec Thibaut IV de Blois, mais ils furent vaincus par le roi.

On the death of his brother, both Milo and his cousin Hugh of Crecy asserted their rights to the lordship. Louis VI allotted it to Milo, who in 1113 revolted against him with Thibaut IV of Blois. He married Adela of Blois, daughter of the crusader Stephen, Count of Blois and his widowed countess, Adela of Normandy. This marriage was the result of a treaty negotiated by countess Adela. Milo was to support Adela against King Louis, and in return, he would marry Adela. Due to this connection, Milo was made viscount of Troyes. However, Milo was still married so the marriage to Adela was annulled. In 1118 Hugh of Crecy took revenge for his loss of Montlhéry by having Milo assassinated; Louis VI then made Montlhéry part of the royal domain of France. (en)
