Militant Left is a Trotskyist political party active in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. After a split, in 2019, in the Committee for a Workers' International (1974), the group was founded by former members of the Socialist Party who wished to affiliate to the 'refounded' Committee for a Workers' International (2019). Initially known as CWI Ireland, it renamed itself Militant Left in 2020. As of February 2021, Militant Left was not included on the register of political parties in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.
