J.D. Kleinke (born 1962) is an author and health care industry leader. He has written extensively about the economics, politics, and culture of the US health care system, including two books on the U.S. health care system, Bleeding Edge (1998) and Oxymorons (2001) and the medical novel Catching Babies (2011), which is currently in development as a TV series.[1] He has also published two novels about the relationship between landscape, adventure sports, and spirituality in the American West, Dudeville (2017) and That Golden Shore (2021). His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Forbes, Freeskiier, The Surfers Journal, Acoustic Guitar, Health Affairs, JAMA, and other publications.
