- Elizabeth Hill Boone (born September 6, 1948) is an American art historian, ethnohistorian and academic, specialising in the study of Latin American art and in particular the early colonial and pre-Columbian art, iconography and pictorial codices associated with the Mixtec, Aztec and other Mesoamerican cultures in the central Mexican region. Her extensive published research covers investigations into the nature of Aztec writing, the symbolism and structure of Aztec art and iconography and the interpretation of Mixtec and Aztec codices. - Elizabeth Hill Boone (6 de septiembre de 1948) es una etnohistoriadora, historiadora del arte y académica estadounidense, especializada en arte precolombino, iconografía y códices de las civilizaciones mixteca y mexica, así como de otras del centro de México. Ha desarrollado un trabajo extenso en lo que se refiere a la escritura mexica, a su iconografía y a sus simbolismos. Boone ha sido profesora de historia del arte en la Universidad de Tulane desde 1994 y ostenta la cátedra Martha y Donald Robertson de arte de América Latina. Es también investigadora asociada en la misma universidad. (es)
