  • Das Amerikanische Generalkonsulat in Hamburg ist ein markanter Bau im klassizistischen Stil in exponierter Lage am Alsterufer 27/28 im Stadtteil Rotherbaum an der Alster und unter den 97 Konsulaten und Handelsvertretungen (Stand: Januar 2019) in der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg besonders bekannt. Das Generalkonsulat vertritt außer Hamburg die weiteren norddeutschen Bundesländer Niedersachsen, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein und Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In diesen Ländern leben etwa 20.000 US-amerikanische Staatsbürger, davon 3.984 in Hamburg (Stand 31. Dezember 2018). Ein Umzug in die Hafencity hat im August 2022 stattgefunden. Möglicherweise wird die „Das Kleine Weiße Haus an der Alster“ genannte Villa nach Sanierung erneut bezogen. (de)
