Camp Doha was the main U.S. Army base in Kuwait, and played a pivotal role in the U.S. military presence in the Middle East since the 1991 Gulf War and in the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The complex is located on a small peninsula on Kuwait Bay, west of Kuwait City. It was initially a large industrial warehouse complex and was taken in hand by the U.S. Army for conversion to its current role in 1998 during Operation Desert Thunder.

Es dient seit dem Zweiten Golfkrieg (1991) als zentrale logistische Basis der US-amerikanischen Streitkräfte im Bereich des Nahen Ostens. Ab Anfang 2002 beherbergte Camp Doha den Stab und einige Kräfte der Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF CM), einem multinationaler Einsatzverband unter US-amerikanischem Kommando. Auch das zur CJTF CM gehörige deutsche ABC-Abwehrbataillon Kuwait war von Februar 2002 bis Juni 2003 in Camp Doha stationiert. (de)
