The CGR class C1 and C1a were steam locomotives of the Garratt type built by Beyer, Peacock and Company for the Ceylon Government Railways (CGR), now Sri Lanka Railways. The Class C1 prototype was built in 1928 and was followed by 8 Class C1a locomotives in 1946. The C1a class was converted to oil firing between 1950 and 1954.
