The Blue–Gray Football Classic was an annual American college football all-star game held in Alabama, usually in late December and often on Christmas Day. The brainchild of Alabama college football legend Champ Pickens, the contest began in 1939 and was held annually through 2001, with the exception of 1943 due to World War II.

All of the games, except for the final contest, were played at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama, under the auspices of the Montgomery Lions Club. The game was not contested in 2002, then was revived briefly in 2003 at Movie Gallery Stadium in Troy, Alabama. Lacking a major television sponsor, the game was discontinued thereafter. (en)

La première édition a lieu en 1939 et se déroule au Cramton Bowl de Montgomery dans Alabama sous les auspices du Lions Club local. L'édition de 2002 n'a pas lieu et celle de 2003 est organisée au de Troy toujours dans l'Alabama. Cependant le match ne sera plus organisé par la suite faute de trouver un sponsor assez important. Le match, auquel le nom de Classic est attribué, opposait des joueurs universitaires issus des anciens États confédérés d'Amérique (soit les "Grays" portant des maillots blancs) à des joueurs universitaires issus de la moitié Nord du pays (les "Blues" portant des maillots bleus). Ces derniers étaient parfois renforcés par des joueurs issus de l'Ouest du pays. Les deux équipes portaient un pantalon gris. Seuls des seniors pouvaient être sélectionnés puisque, rétribués pour participer au match, ils effectuaient une première incursion dans le milieu du football professionnel. (fr)
