- Blackfriars Priory (formally the Priory of the Holy Spirit) is a Dominican religious community in Oxford, England. It houses two educational institutions: Blackfriars Studium, the centre of theological studies of the English Province of the Dominican Order (although it numbers members of other orders and lay people among its students and lecturers); and Blackfriars Hall, a constituent permanent private hall of the University of Oxford. The current prior of Blackfriars is Robert Gay, and the regent of both the hall and the studium is John O'Connor. The name Blackfriars is commonly used in Britain to denote a house of Dominican friars, a reference to their black cappa, which forms part of their habit. (en)

- Blackfriars är en utbildningsinstitution, ett dominikankloster och en Permanent Private Hall vid Oxfords universitet i England. Den grundades ursprungligen 1221 av dominikanorden på instruktion av ordens grundare Sankt Dominicus, och är därmed en av de äldsta utbildningsinstitutionerna vid Oxfords universitet. Klostren i England upplöstes i samband med den engelska reformationen under Henrik VIII och först 1921 återbildades svartbrödraklostret på en ny plats i centrala Oxford. 1994 blev klostrets utbildningsverksamhet en Permanent Private Hall under Oxfords universitet, vilket bland annat innebär att studenterna tillhör universitetet men att dominikanorden är huvudman för organisationen.
