The Alliance of Mennonite Evangelical Congregations (AMEC) is an association of conservative Evangelical Mennonite churches. The organization was officially formed in 2002 over concerns relating to the merger of the Mennonite Church and the General Conference Mennonite Church. As a denomination, AMEC positions itself a voluntary association of congregations which maintain a common two-fold commitment "both to the doctrinal foundation of evangelical orthodoxy and to the worthy tenets of historic biblical Anabaptism."
