En sus obras suele analizar con un estilo preciso, casi científico, lo que parece la imposibilidad de sus personajes de disponer de sus vidas, como si estuvieran abocados a un destino inexcusable y fueran incapaces de ejercer el libre albedrío por carecer de una voluntad firme o haber renunciado a la existencia. (es) 吉村昭（よしむらあきら、1927年（昭和2年）5月1日 - 2006年（平成18年）7月31日）は、日本の小説家。東京・日暮里生まれ。学習院大学中退。1966年『星への旅』で太宰治賞を受賞。同年発表の『戦艦武蔵』で記録文学に新境地を拓き、同作品や『関東大震災』などにより、1973年菊池寛賞を受賞。現場、証言、史料を周到に取材し、緻密に構成した多彩な記録文学、歴史文学の長編作品を次々に発表。日本芸術院会員。小説家津村節子の夫。 (ja) Akira Yoshimura (japanisch 吉村昭, Yoshimura Akira; * 1. Mai 1927 in , (heute: Higashi-Nippori, Arakawa), Präfektur Tokio; † 31. Juli 2006) war ein japanischer Schriftsteller. Er war verheiratet mit der Schriftstellerin Tsumura Setsuko. (de) Akira Yoshimura (吉村昭, Yoshimura Akira), né le 1er mai 1927 à Tokyo et mort le 31 juillet 2006 à Mitaka, est un auteur japonais de romans et nouvelles. Son œuvre s'inspire de légendes japonaises (Naufrages) ou bien encore de faits divers souvent liés à la Seconde Guerre mondiale (La Guerre des jours lointains). Son style d'écriture souvent assez sombre est d'une remarquable précision, presque chirurgicale. Il était l'époux de l’écrivaine Setsuko Tsumura. (fr)
