The African Meeting House, also known variously as First African Baptist Church, First Independent Baptist Church and the Belknap Street Church, was built in 1806 and is now the oldest black church edifice still standing in the United States. It is located in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, adjacent to the African-American Abiel Smith School. It is a National Historic Landmark.

Es ist seit 1966 Contributing Property des Historic District Beacon Hill. Am 7. Oktober 1971 wurde es als Baudenkmal eigenständiger Relevanz in das National Register of Historic Places eingetragen. Seit dem 30. Mai 1974 hat das African Meeting House den Status einer National Historic Landmark. (de) Le musée d’histoire afro-américaine (en anglais, Museum of Afro-American History), ouvert en 1963, est le plus grand musée de Nouvelle-Angleterre dédié à la préservation de la mémoire des Noirs américains. L'institution regroupe plusieurs sites tels que le Black Heritage Trails, l’African Meeting House ou l’Abiel Smith School qui évoquent leur vie et leur condition de l'époque coloniale au XIXe siècle. Le musée organise des expositions et des activités pour les scolaires.
