Émile Durand (* 16. Februar 1830 in Saint-Brieuc; † 7. Mai 1903 in Neuilly-sur-Seine) war ein französischer Komponist und Musikpädagoge. Nach erstem Unterricht bei seinem Vater studierte Durand ab 1845 am Konservatorium von Montpellier bei Napoléon Alkan Solfège, bei François Bazin Harmonielehre und bei Jacques Fromental Halévy Komposition. 1853 erhielt er einen Second Grand Prix de Rome für seine Kantate Le Rocher d’Appenzell nach einem Text von .
